From this analysis of my of my audience feed back, I am able to see that my ancillary products were effective at advertising the movie with the use of the house style, tone and also gives previews and teasers of the films final content.

Photoshop Techniques

The main technique that I used on photoshop what making an image black and white and inputting his blue eyes. This brought some trouble to me as I couldn't find a way to keep his eyes blue. I decided to just lower the saturation of the image and then just draw the colour around the eye. This was fairly simple and a small detail to my final poster.

Progression 1 (poster)

The first part of my progression was taking my photo, importing it and and then reduced the saturation until the photo looked black and white enough for to my liking. I also had to reduce the brightness to make the colour look more black and grey.

Progression 2 (Poster)

The next stage of my Poster was adding in a title. I used the same font and logo as I used in my trailer  to create a good sense of synergy between my poster and my final trailer. I started with a black background and then realised that it blended in with the picture. I then used a grey for the font colour to contrast with the black and the white. This felt and looked much better on my poster.

My 3rd progression was using a very low opacity (4%) and then painted over the image to give definition to the character (E.G. gave I'm more definition in his chest and less on hist stomach and legs. I also gave him a bit of definition in his face with the low opacity paint to make hime more good looking.

I then added in a date of release and and the production companies to make it look more authentic as a movie poster. This was the final part of my poster and now it was finished.

Progression 1 (Cover)

The first part of creating my Front cover was taking the photo and improving it into Photoshop. This quality allowed me to really played around with his features. I chose this photo as it was the best quality photo and it really showed of the models eyes.

Progression 2 (Cover)

The second step to creating my front cover was lowering the saturation to give it a black and white effect. The effect gave me an option to have have 100% saturation and move it down to 0%. I didn't want the photo to be completely black and white so I only made the image 12% saturated to still keep slight colour in the photo and I also darkened the brightness of the whole document. This gave it a mysterious feel about the photo which synergies with my trailer as the main story line revolves around secrets.

Progression 3 (Cover)

Once I sorted out my photo I added the title of my magazine "MAX". I started with a grey coloured font but then realised that you loose the letters in the forehead of my actor, so I then decided to try a white font that fitted much better on my cover. I also added a shadow in my text to make it stand out even more.

For The next part of my magazine cover i needed to add a puff to advertise the quality of the magazine and advertising the the film itself. I did this by using adjectives like limited to present the magazine to the demographic.

Progression 5 (Cover)

I then added a plug to my magazine "The worlds most talked about magazine" and the month issue. This really makes my magazine look professional and advertises the film as such a big brand would use my film as the front cover of the month.

To finish my magazine I added an image of a gun and a gun silencer. This adds a sense of action and mystery to my cover. To finalise my cover I have used a paint tool on low opacity to give definition to his face structure and darken around his eyes. Now after all my progressions I believe that I have a front cover that synergies with my trailer product and follows the conventions of an spy action movie.

My film will be edited on iMovie (only available on MacBooks)

Once I had filmed all of my NNS (None Narrative Shots), I was able to start editing the middle portion of my trailer (A quick build up of average 0.5 second shots). I was also able to create the sound that was going to overlay this section. With the sound, I could finally edit my visual clips with the correct synergy to the music.

The second part of filming my trailer was the final scene. This was a build up of shots that shows a spy trying to defuse a bomb. This was a quick and easy process as it was filmed over the space of 20 minutes in the same location and took up 30 seconds of my trailer. Like the process before I then found my music after I had filmed and then I was able to create the synergy with the music and visual.

The final section I needed was a scene at the beginning. This was the longest filming process as it needed to be over a range of locations and weather conditions(An example of this would be that i needed to wait till it stopped raining for the shot in a car. once all of this was filmed i then needed to edit it and find out what music would fit well with the visual.

The final and longest part of my process was the editing and rounding of my trailer once everything was filmed. This was a month of changing the details of the trailer, An example of this would be cropping a scene by 0.1 of a second to allow the rest of the trailer to run smoother.
